TIMA-X mineral analysis system
|
TIMA-X is an automated mineralogy system for fast quantitative analysis of samples such as rocks, ores, concentrates, tailings, leach residues or smelter products.
TIMA-X combines BSE and EDS analysis to identify minerals and obtain mineral images. By analyzing images, mineral concentration, element distribution, and mineral characteristics such as grain size, binding form, dissociation, and encapsulation degree can be determined. TIMA-X can also be used to identify the presence of platinum group metals, gold, silver, rare earths, and other minerals in bright phases.
TIMA-X can install up to four EDAX silicon drift spectrum probes, which, when combined with new software, significantly improves analytical performance and reliability. The new energy spectrum probe has improved the sensitivity of detecting light elements and has stable energy resolution at high counting rates. The energy spectrum probe can be controlled by the TIMA operating system and EDAX's energy spectrum quantitative analysis software, allowing users to experience the high work efficiency of TIMA-X and perform quantitative analysis. The TIMA-X software has many unique features, including a new generation of mineral identification tools and the use of pixel analysis algorithms to detect lower element contents. |
